Initial Assessment
Unexplained foot, ankle, knee, hip, or back pain? Our pedorthic assessment evaluates your lower limb anatomy, muscles and joint function as well as the interaction of your feet and lower limbs with the rest of your body. Your clinician will begin by taking a thorough history to identify patterns and expose causes of your pain. Following the history, your Pedorthist will perform a series of weight bearing and non-weight bearing tests and analyze the findings of each aspect of the assessment and educate you on the intricacies of your biomechanics. We’ll also analyze your existing shoe wardrobe and help you understand what to wear and not to wear, based on your unique biomechanics. We will also give you a shoe shopping tutorial. Personalized treatment plans are discussed, that may include off-the-shelf or custom orthotics, sports medicine products, prevention tips, or stretches. If orthotics are involved, your feet will be casted in a 3D, non-weight bearing position to capture your unique anatomy.
